I was born in Wales,
and am a native Welsh speaker.
I am currently Professor of Economics
at Lancaster University Management
School. Lancaster
is a pleasant city in the beautiful rural north west of England.
In addition to this home page, I have a home page at work which contains various work related materials, including a fully interactive (and fun to play with) forecasting model for the UK economy.
My avocations include football,
birdwatching,
art
appreciation and astronomy. (There are some great astronomy websites
- check out the
NASA
photo collection, the Messier
index, the Abrams
planetarium diary, star charts
and the amazing Bradford
telescope.) I am also interested in current
affairs.

You can also read about our experiences when we enjoyed a period of about 4 months during 1995 working in Australia, and about our trip to the USA for three months during 1999. Or, if reading sounds too much like hard work, why not enjoy the views on our slide show of Australia? We also have a slide show of the USA. And why not take a look at our page of freebies?
Enjoy!
